Welcome to Sam Tugwell

Sam moved over to manage Bedfordia Farms on the 6th January this year and is already settling in well with the onsite team.
Sam said: ‘I am delighted to have the opportunity to  manage Bedfordia’s arable operation. It ticks a lot of my boxes in terms of being local, a considerable size and an interesting set up with the new environmental stewardship schemes and the use of biofertilizers digestate and slurry. We have a talented team at Bedfordia and with Velcourt’s support and resources, I really am very excited for the future.’
Sam is working from Bedfordia’s offices at Milton House Farm, Milton Ernest.
Bio
As a teenager, Sam was keen on Go-Kart racing, winning contests, and was part of a sprint team which took part in the Sprint Series national championships. He went on to attend Silsoe Motorsport college.
Sam then took over the family’s second generation arable farm at Stoke Albany in North Northamptonshire. Keen to gain wider experience, in 2019 he secured a job as an Assistant Farm Manager for R.J. & A. E. Godfrey in Holbeach Marsh before joining Velcourt in 2021 as a Regional Agronomist.
