Assisting the arable team with the carting of grain from the combine to the main plant site or one of the off-site stores. Using modern machinery and techniques to assist with cultivations. Previous arable experience desirable.
Assisting in the day to day operation of the grain plant, which is capable of in-taking wheat at 300 tonnes per hour (tph) and out-loading at 160 tph. The plant has a new dryer with the facilities to dry at 140 tph. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a detailed understanding of the storage and monitoring of combinable crops. Mechanically minded and experience of operating a tele-handler and other general farm equipment preferable, the chance to be involved with mechanical repairs maintenance and fabrication.
Harvest Grain Laboratory Assistant - Bedfordshire
Our TASCC accredited grain testing laboratory has facilities to analyse all the major on-farm characteristics of wheat, barley and oilseed rape, enabling us to match quality to end user requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience of grain quality testing and specifications using modern grain lab equipment.
