Bedfordia Group Introduction
Bedfordia Group is a privately owned British company, based in Bedfordshire, trading since the early 1930’s. Today the company employs 40 people in two key business areas: agriculture and property.
Agriculture (arable, grain and livestock
The agricultural division of Bedfordia Group today farms more than 2,400 Ha (almost 6,000 acres) of predominantly arable farmland in North Bedfordshire and South Northamptonshire. The farm uses high levels of technology to maximise output in an environmentally sustainable way.
The farm has 27,000 tonnes of grain storage and processing capacity and it breeds and rears 28,000 pigs per annum for supply to UK supermarkets from 1100 breeding pigs.
Property (development, investment and management)
Property ownership, investment and development have been central to the Bedfordia Group since the company’s foundation in the 1930′s. Today Bedfordia’s Property Division owns and manages a diverse property portfolio including business parks, offices, warehouses and residential properties as well as agricultural land.
Bedfordia specialises in improving site value by sympathetic development and responsible land management. It invests in both brown and greenfield sites containing detailed planning permissions for residential and commercial developments that are in tune with community and environmental needs.
